AMLITE “Smart” Covers

Amlite Composite Covers manufactured from SMC Composite Material not only offer an extremely high strength to weight ratio but in addition offer the advantage of allowing the passage of radio waves through the structure of the cover.

These so called “smart” covers allow the installation of sensors and transmitters below the cover to permit the uninterrupted passage of radio signals (RFID) for the purposes of signal communications to above ground receivers.

Such sensors or transmitters can be used in a multitude of applications such as flood identification, unauthorised access, maintenance logging, access point location for fire hydrants etc.
